"Narnia. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Prince Caspian's ship, the Dawn Treader, travels through a vast magical sea of lilies to Aslan's country where Reepicheep, the talking mouse, sails up a huge wave and to the land beyond. For me, the final part of this trilogy of bindings, a book about death and the journey from earth into another world. I took two of @brucemunrostudio installations, Water Lilies, a sea of holographic CDs, and Reepicheep's Wave, a huge wave of mussel shells, as inspiration for this. I love the natural holographic quality of the abalone shell and it nicely referenced the mussel shells as well as the shimmering colours of CDs. "

Kate is happy to undertake commissions for design bindings.
